What’s your process? What can I expect?
1. Client Intake Form — You’ll start by sharing a bit about your space, lifestyle, and goals.
2. Discovery Call — A 15–30 minute call to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine the best path forward.
3. Proposal & Booking — You’ll receive a personalized service quote and session breakdown. Once approved, we secure your session(s).
4. Walkthrough & Prep — We visit your space (or do a virtual tour), finalize the plan, and source any recommended supplies.
5. Organizing Sessions — We work hands-on to declutter, sort, and implement beautiful, functional systems tailored to your daily life.
6. Client Reveal + Support — We walk you through your new setup, and send you a follow-up email with tips, product links, and optional maintenance support.
How much do your services cost?
Pricing varies based on the size of your space, the number of sessions needed, and the level of support required. Here’s a general range:
Hourly Organizing Sessions: Starting at $150/hr (3–4 hour minimum)
Full-Service Packages: Custom quotes available after consultation
Packing/Unpacking Services: Priced by scope and square footage
Commercial Organizing: Starting at $180/hr with flat-rate options for larger businesses
All quotes are customized based on your unique needs and will be provided after your Discovery Call.
Do I need to be present during the sessions?
Not necessarily! Some clients prefer to be hands-on during the process, while others feel more comfortable stepping away and returning to a beautifully transformed space. We’ll discuss what works best for you during the Discovery Call.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in New York, NY and currently offer:
- In-person sessions in NYC, NJ, and the Tri-State region
- Virtual services for clients outside the area (great for closets, pantries, offices, and systems coaching)
Travel fees may apply outside of service radius.
Do you offer virtual organizing?
Yes! Virtual sessions are available for closets, small spaces, paperwork systems, and coaching-style support. You’ll receive a personalized action plan, product recommendations, and follow-up support via Zoom or video call.
Who will be working in my home?
Every project is led by Kamara, founder of Dwelling Place, with select trusted assistants or team members brought in for larger jobs. We value professionalism, discretion, and respect for your space—and treat your home like a sacred place.
You’ll always know who’s coming into your space before a session begins
Do I need to buy bins and containers beforehand?
Not at all. After your walkthrough, we’ll recommend storage products that match your style, needs, and budget. You can either purchase them yourself or have us source and bring everything directly to the session.
Do you clean as well?
We don’t manage the actual transport or logistics of moving day—but we handle pre-move decluttering, packing, and post-move unpacking + setup. Our goal is to make your transition smooth, intentional, and stress-free.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes! After your initial sessions, we offer quarterly refresh packages, seasonal swaps (great for closets and pantries), and maintenance add-ons to help your systems stay intact long after we leave.
